The 1963-1964 Blue Devil Basketball team, coached by Chuck Mundell, finished as the top scoring team in the nation; averaging 117.5 points per game. The Blue Devils finished 28-3 and set a new national scoring record with 2,710 points and finished as the Illinois State Champions and Southern Illinois College Conference Champions. The Blue Devils finished 8th at the NJCAA National Tournament and set a new national tournament scoring record with 383 points in four games, for an average of 95.8 points per game.
