Dorothy Eagen served as the Secretary of Student Services
and the Athletic Department at Kaskaskia College. A Centralia
native, and former May Fete Queen, Dorothy was involved in her
community and was a dedicated Kaskaskia College employee. Dorothy
began her career at Kaskaskia College in 1967 and retired in 1993,
dedicating 26 years to the college. Dorothy was very
supportive of the Blue Devils and Blue Angels teams during her
career at Kaskaskia College and was ever present with a positive
attitude and words of encouragement for the teams, players and
coaches.
Dorothy was a mother figure to many of the athletes while
they were away from home and faithfully attended each basketball
game, providing for the physical and emotional well being of
Kaskaskia College's student athletes with treats and home cooking
before each game. Her devotion to the teams and unwavering
support of the athletes directly contributed to the success of the
Kaskaskia College Athletic Program during her career at the
college.
