Jeff Mahy, played baseball at Rich Central High School in Country Club Hills, Illinois where he was a big part of the success of the baseball program.  Jeff attended Kaskaskia College on a  baseball scholarship as a catcher and third baseman in 1986.  Over his two-year career, Jeff’s batting average was .320; he hit 33 doubles, 2 triples, 7 home runs, 83 runs batted in and had an on base average of .512.  With runners in scoring positions, Jeff delivered 61% of his opportunities.  Jeff was named to the All Great Rivers Athletic Conference team his sophomore year when he hit .436 and had an on base average of .596 and delivered 68% of the time.  Jeff was also named Co-Male Athlete of the Year at KC.

After Kaskaskia College, Jeff attended Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama from 1988 to 1990 on a baseball scholarship.  He was a two-year starter, hitting .345 with 19 doubles, 4 home runs, 31 RBIs and scored 22 runs. 

Jeff returned to Rich Central High School as the Varsity Baseball Coach from 1994–2009 and is a very successful middle school coach at Prairie View in Tinley Park, Illinois.  Jeff coaches three very successful programs. His girls softball overall record is 210-40, his girls basketball overall record is 189-84 and his boys basketball program overall record is 338-92.  In 22 years, Jeff has won 24 conference titles, 14 conference tournament titles and a Coach of the Year Award in 2004.
