During his baseball career at Kaskaskia College from 1980-1982, Jeff Morris had a batting average of .337 with fourteen doubles, sixteen triples, four home runs and sixty-eight runs batted in.  Jeff was on the All Southern Illinois Conference team and played in the North-South Illinois All Star game at Wrigley Field.

After Kaskaskia, Jeff attended Southeast Missouri State University; his team won a Conference Championship and the Missouri Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championship.  The team went on to play in the NCAA Midwest Regional and Jeff played in the NCAA Tournament.  Jeff received an Honorable Mention to the All Missouri Intercollegiate team in 1983 and in 1984. 
       
After graduation, Jeff began a coaching career spanning the past 26 years. Jeff served nine years as a varsity high school assistant football coach in Paris, Tennessee and two years as an assistant coach at Milan High School in Milan, Tennessee. Jeff became the Head Football Coach in 1996, a position he's held for 15 years with a 160-40 record. 

Jeff's teams were the 1998 AA State Champions and the 1999 AAA State Champions; additionally they were 2nd in the state for both 2008 and 2009, have been to the semi-finals eight times and were in the playoffs every year with a record of 37-13.  During the seven year that Jeff served as the Henry County High School's Baseball Coach, his teams were three time district winners. 

Jeff was named State Coach of the Year in 1998-1999 and the Jackson Sun West Tennessee Coach of the Year in 1998, 1999, 2003, and 2009. Jeff was also the Tennessee Titan Coach of the Year in 2003 and was selected as the Head Football Coach of the Tennessee All-Stars team playing against the Kentucky All-Stars.
