Jon Behrens played baseball at Carlyle High School for the legendary Coach Gary Wheeler before playing baseball at Kaskaskia College from 1989-1991.  During his career, Jon had a batting average of .320, twenty-eight doubles, four triples, seventeen home runs, one hundred and six runs batted in and an on base average of .408.  

Jon was selected to play in the Junior College All-Star game for the South Team at Springfield, Illinois.  In the championship game for Region 24, Jon went four for five, hitting two home runs and five runs batted in.  In the bottom of the ninth, with his team trailing 9-7, Jon hit a three-run homer to win the Region 24 Tournament with a final score of 10-9.  Jon was named Most Valuable Player and was selected to the All-Region team. 

Jon continued his education at Southern Illinois University Carbondale and is currently teaching Building Trade classes at Carlyle High School.
