Josh played golf at Kaskaskia College for Coach Jerry Cooksey from 2002 – 2004.  In 2002, Josh was selected as Player of the Year and was the 2001 and 2002 Regional Champion.  In 2004, Josh qualified for the National Tournament and finished 25th in the nation and was the first to play nationally from Kaskaskia College.  He graduated from Kaskaskia College with an Associates in Arts in 2004 and went on to play at Missouri Baptist.

Josh continued his golf career, tying for 9th at the Tanglewood Tournament in October 2005 with a two day scores of 75 and 74.  He finished 5th in the American Midwest Conference and was selected to the 2006 AMC Men’s Golf All Conference First Team with a score of 148.  Josh also represented Missouri Baptist University at the 2006 NAIA Men’s Golf National Championships.

As a Recreation Coordinator for Olivette Parks and Recreation while a college student, Josh implemented a “Start Smart Golf” program, teaching the fundamentals of golf to local youth.  Josh was a member of the 2002 CHS Baseball team that was inducted into the Centralia Hall Of Fame which posted a 29-5 record and won the South Seven Conference title with a perfect 10-0.
