Kristy Jones attended Kaskaskia College from 1980-1982 and was a member of the 1982 Blue Angels Tennis team, coached by Jim McKee.  Kristy was on a doubles team with partner Mandy Travelstead.  This duo won the doubles championship at the state tournament and qualified for NJCAA national finals.  Kristy also came in second in singles competition at the state tournament.  

Kristy placed 2nd overall in the 1983 Lincoln Land Invitational and was 1st in singles play.  Kristy and Mandy were selected to the All-Region 24 Tournament First team, marking the first time Kaskaskia College had qualified women players in the national finals.  Kristy was 4th overall in Regional 24 and 2nd in singles play. 

Kristy graduated from Kaskaskia College with a certificate in Cosmetology.  She currently resides in California where she is a Navy Obstetrics Nurse.
