2008-09 Blue Devil Baseball Team Inducted into Kaskaskia College Athletic Hall of Fame

Kaskaskia College is pleased to announce that the 2008-09 Blue Devils Baseball Team was recently inducted into the KC Athletic Hall of Fame.

The 2008-09 Men's Baseball Team was the first Kaskaskia College team to earn a Great Rivers Athletic Conference Championship title after a 21-year lull.  The team record was 19-5 for the GRAC, with a 36-11 overall record.  The Blue Devils placed 3rd in the Region 24 Tournament and was selected as an Academic All American team. 

Team members receiving special honors include Academic All-Americans Logan Mahon, Wade Koester, Stephen Hefler, Bo Kinder, and Scott Pedersen.  Logan Mahon, Anthony Even, and Wade Koester were named All Conference and All-Region, Anthony Hecht also received All Region Honors and Mahon was the Region 24 Pitcher of the Year.

Team members were Anthony Hecht, Jordan Schmidt, Joey Paulin, Dayton Spears, Jameson   Rakers, Matt Engele, Tyler Sopczak, Brandon Hardin, Michael Finnamore,  Paul Ritzheimer, Logan Mahon, Phillip Berndsen, Phillip Whetherall, Anthony Even, Chris Buddee, Troy Davis, Stephen Hefler, Ryne Purcell, Wade Koester, Bo Kinder, Dillan York, Matt Hitt, Scott Pedersen, Wes O'Neill, Kurt Peppenhorst, Brett Mazmanian, Tyler White and Tyler Mulder.  Coaches were Mitch Koester, Kurt Friese, and Jared Davis.
