Highland’s Zach Plocher to Play Tennis at Kaskaskia College

Recent Highland High School graduate Zach Plocher has recently signed a letter of intent to continue her tennis career at Kaskaskia College.

While in high school, Zach earned 7 Mississippi Valley Conference medals, 2 Most Improved Player Awards, 1 MVP Award, the Jason Hersey Award and 9 USTA trophies.  He also finished 3rd in Sectionals and was a state qualifier.

KC coach Valjean Luecking says, "I am excited to have Zach as a member of the 2015-16 Blue Devils squad.  I expect him to be contributing immediately as he has played 4 years of varsity tennis for Coach Matt Pellock at Highland HS, where he was the team's No. 1 this year.  Zach's high school career culminated with his advancement to the IHSA state championships this past May.  Kaskaskia College will also receive a fine student/athlete with Zach as he graduated 16th in his class and was a member of the National Honor Society".

Kaskaskia begins its fall season with a home match on August 29 against St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
