Centralia’s Logan Lauder to Continue Tennis Career at Kaskaskia College

Centralia Senior Logan Lauder recently signed a letter of intent to continue his tennis career at Kaskaskia College.  Along with tennis, Lauder was a standout athlete in soccer and football.

"Ever since I was little, I've always wanted to continue past high school with sports," he said. "Soccer, football, tennis, it didn't matter, I'd pretty much take anything I could get."

KC tennis coach Joe Basch believes Lauder's athleticism and experience will be assets for the Blue Devils' tennis program.  "Logan's played against guys we currently have on our roster, so we know he can compete at our level," Basch said. "Also, you always look for athletes, so it's nice to have someone like him, who's played so many things and is athletically gifted."

Centralia tennis coach Blake Freels said what sets Lauder apart is his strong work ethic, which has been discernible since his freshman year.

"He picked up the game since the beginning when he came out as a freshman, but he's improved each year and you can definitely see a difference," Feels said. "Logan's a hard worker, a great student and I think it's a great pickup for Kaskaskia College. He's going to work hard and definitely make that team better."
