JAIDYN ACKERMAN IS NOW A BLUE ANGEL

CENTRALIA, IL -- Greenville High School senior, Jaidyn Ackerman has recently signed a letter of intent to continue her education and athletic career at Kaskaskia College. Ackerman, who will play softball, plans to pursue her assoicates in science to further her education towards a degree in veterinary medicine.

On the softball field, her versatility to play outfield and the middle infield demonstrates her athleticism and softball IQ.  Offensively, she has garnered attention as a slapper, whose tremendous speed, was rewarded in All Conference and All State accolaides during high school.  Jaidyn's skills enhanced greatly during travel ball, as a catalyst for the SouthWest Illini Jaguars, where she helped lead her club to numerous tournament championships.  She was also a multi-sport athlete, having competed in competitive cheer and track/field.

According to KC coach John Barnes, "Jaidyn will play both outfield and middle infield to give her a better opportunity to get her offensive skill set in the lineup.  She has all the traits of being a very impactful part of our offense.  I am excited to see how she will affect opposing defenses.  When she is right, she is almost impossible to get out on the basepaths. She is without a doubt, the fastest softball player I have ever seen!."
