The Time Has Come for a W in OVER TIME

The Lakers Men's Basketball team traveled to Region 24 opponent Kaskaskia for a 3:00pm CST tip-off.

It has been since December 31st that the Lakers had competed on the hard wood. Safe to say, the Lakers are READY and RESTED to get back to competition!

In conclusion of the game tonight, the Lakers move to 10-6 on the season, 5-1 in the Region 24 and 4-0 in the GRAC play. Tonights game vs the Blue Devils was a back and fourth boxing match with KC striking first and leading after the half at 46-40. The second half started the same way coming down to the final seconds where the Blue Devils were able to tie the game 79-79 with two free throws. 

Going into OT the Lakes were off to a good start but the Blue Devils were right on their tail. However, it wasn't enough to keep the Lakers at bay as the Lakers won 95-89 in OT.

The Lakers were led by #10 Everett Stubblefield with 26 points, #1 Malachi Davis with 18 points and #20 Dailliss Cox with 16 points.

Lakers are set to travel to take on the Statesmen of Lincoln Trail College Wednesday, January 19th.

Tip-Off is set for 7:30pm CST.
