NANCY FRITZSCHE SIGNS WITH THE KASKASKIA BLUE ANGELS

CENTRALIA, IL -- Nancy Fritzsche, a three sport standout from Greenville High School, has chosen to play softball at Kaskaskia College.  Nancy will study in the dental hygiene assistant program, with plans to advance her degree upon graduation.

A former All Conference and All State athlete in volleyball, basketball, and softball, Nancy's decision to play only softball comes to the surprise to many college suiters in basketball, where she received most of her attention.  Nancy leaves Greenville High School as arguably one of the top female athetes in the school's history.   As a softball player, Nancy has the ability to hit for high average and power, while having the experience to play multiple positions.

According to KC Coach, John Barnes, "Nancy is an all around athlete.  Her 6'0", athletic frame, obviously draws attention on the softball field. We are very fortunate to have her commit to our program. It will be interesting to see how much Nancy will improve as a softball player, as all of her focus is now on this sport. She has the skills to play at almost every position on the field, but to have that kind of athlete as a power hitting, first baseman, is where I feel she will greatly help our program."
