Sophmores Nick Fehr, Nick Zwilling, Christain Rees, Ostin Habeck, Caleb Locke, and Conner Garsnett kicked off their season at the Heartland Relay Inivte. Freshmen Jack Shelton, Owen Huelsmann, Daniel Obernuefemann jump into the relay format of 4x1 mile. Sophmore Tejas Zala, first time cross country runner, joined the fun. The temperature had backed off to a chilling 87 degrees and probably lower humidity, but that didn't keep the 100 plus community college atheletes from 7 different colleges of giving their best efforts. The KC team of Zwilling and Fehr placed 11th, less than 20 seconds from what could of been a 4th place finish. Shelton and Rees placed 21st as pair, followed by Daniel O and Ostin. Huelsmann and Zala placed 30th as a team.
