Joe Basch is in his 16th season as head coach for the Kaskaskia College Blue Angels Soccer Team. He was the first women’s soccer coach and in his time at Kaskaskia he has led the team to a 149-75-13 record. He has coached 1 All-American, 33 all region players, 42 players that have gone on to 4-year schools, 10 academic all American teams, and 45 individual academic all Americans.  He also served as the NJCAA Region XXIV chair for Women's Soccer for 3 years. 

Basch graduated from Centralia High School in 2003 where he was a four-year varsity starter (one year at Pekin High School) in soccer and track. He was an all-conference selection for three years, two as a forward and one as a defender. He was also awarded the offensive player of year award at Centralia in 2003 as well as being named Team co-captain.  He was a two time state qualifier in track. Basch attended Marian University in Indianapolis, Indiana where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management in 2007. He was a member of the soccer and track teams. In college he played as a defender and was a three time national qualifier in track. Basch was also a founding member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Board at Marian. Before Kaskaskia, Basch coached boys soccer at Macomb High School and helped lead them to the IHSA sweet sixteen.  Basch is also the Head Coach of the Men's and Women's Tennis Teams at Kaskaskia College.

Basch and his wife, Kim reside in Centralia and have a 10 year old daughter, Natalie Paige Basch.
