The Blue Devils open up the their  season with a 8K race on the flat and winding course on the campus of Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL. The temperature was a bit warm but the competetion was off the scale. The Indiana State Syacmores donated the team race with 23 points and the host Eastern Illinois Panthers were second with 36 points. Vincennces University 3rd followed the KC Blue Devils. The top two finishers for the Devils were Nick Fehr and Nick Zwilling. Christian Rees was 3rd for KC, followed by Jack Shelton and Daniel Obernuefemann. This was Shelton and Daniel O's first races at the 8k distance, as was it for Owen Huelsmann and Tejas Zala. This race is always tough and we did struggle. This sets the bar of what we need to do to get better.
