The course at Eastern Illinois was well marked and ready for the NJCAA Region 24 Championships. The Blue Devils lined up against the number 5 team in the nation and the Heartland Hawks left no doudt in anyones mind why they have been in the top 5 all season.  As late October approaches, the weather can always be a factor. The tempertures were mild, there was no rain, no snow, but pesky 15 to 18 mile per hour winds kicked in and probably set the race times back up to 40 seconds. But of coarse everyone ran under the same conditions. Nick Fehr was leading racer for the Blue Devils placing 8th in the D2 race in a time of 29:22, in 10th was Nick Zwilling, followed by Daniel Obernuefemann. Christian Rees was next in line for the Blue Devils, followed by Owen Huelsmann and Jack Shelton. Ostin Habeck and Tejas Zala.
