NJCAA DII National Cross Country Championships

The score board tells it all.

The score board at the Lakeside golf course in Fort Dodge Iowa tells the tale. The Blue Angels raced to a 9th place finish at DII National Championships this past Saturday. The temperature was in the mid forties, face masks were the fasionable look by all, except for the racers during the race, providing a near perfect day to race. Summer Chelf got a fast start and never looked back, placing 19th overall to earn All American status, she was followed by Elyse Faust, whom put together her best race of the season, placing 30th, Cheyenne Finley was 37th for the Blue Angels. Gracee Kelly held down that 4th counter spot for the Ladies, next was Mya Albers. Abby Bloemer had her best race of the year with a personal best time over the 3.1 mile course. Macie Hargis was next in for the Angels. Placing in the top ten at the Nationals was a great way to cap off a season that was difficult to naviagate, that was always day to day. These ladies handled the stress of the unknow, the stress of change and deserve the up most respect for their perseverance and courage. Thank you to the sophomores and their leadership; Cheyenne Finley, Gracee Kelly of Centralia, Mya Albers of Breese, Elyse Faust of St. Rose and Brittnie Bartling of Nashville.
