Cook earns NJCAA All Region 24 Honors

Megan and Summer after the race.

The Blue Angels battled the water and mud while competing in the NJCAA Region 24 meet held on the campus of Eastern Illinois University. The Angels were led by Megan Cook as she battle and took the 3rd place spot at the finish line. Summer Chelf was next for the Angels, followed by Cayla Krueger. Maggie Fitzgerald was the 4th counter, followed by Mya Albers and Macie Hargis. The Blue Angles was 2nd in team scoring behind Heartland. "The conditions were not the best, the rain had stopped but the course was very wet and muddy, the ladies battled hard and all gave good efforts, very proud of Megan as she worked to the front and was in a pack of Heartland girls. Summer had another solid race and Cayla keeps improving. Maggie was a lot stronger today.  This is one of those races that you can talked about years later, everyone was a muddy mess." After the race and the non awards, since the awards got lost in the mail or our backed ordered, Super Summer and others help dig the timer van out of the stuck mud, KC saved the day! Happy we could help."
