The Blue Angles placed 5th out of 8 full teams, 3 of the top 5 teams were Illinois community colleges, which shows the strength of the commuter college system. Megan Cook and Summer Chelf ended up in the top 20, with Cook taking 12th (20:36) and Summer 19th(21:06). Cayla Krueger had a great bounce back race, looking strong in a time of 22:16. Mya Albers was the 4th counter in 23:47, followed by Maggie Fitzgerald and Macie Hargis. The Blue Angels average time was 22:21 over the 5K distance. "The Ladies right now are sort of stuck in neutral, we can't get out of the 22 minute average. The effort is there and ability is there, we just need that big race to get pass that "locked door". Sometimes when you get to that part of the race, you just have to kick the door in!"  Might need to try some karate kicks this week. "Sometimes little attitudes changes make all the difference, sometimes just everyone showing up in racing spikes makes the coach happy............!"
