Blue Angels traveled north to Heartland Country.

The Blue Angels are off and racing.

Everyone loves a 3 hour bus ride, specially when you get to run over 3 miles when you get there. Competing against only other commiunty colleges was an unique exprerience for the middle of the season. The meet hosted by the #1 Nationally ranked Lady Heartland Hawks,  included several community colleges from the Chicago land area. The Blue Angels placed 4th of 6 full teams with the host team easly taking the team title. Megan Cook continues to improve with each race, she was 9th over all in a time of 20 minutes and 28 seconds. Summer Chelf, is getting back into racing shape and was 16th in a time of 21 minutes and 53 seconds. Cayla Krueger had her best race as a collegiate, she drop her time 40 seconds from her first 5K. Maggie Fitzgerald was the 4th counter for the Angels, followed by Mya Albers and Macie Hargis. The Blue Angels were without the services of Jamesyn Lyons, who was a race time scratch due to a nagging hip issue. "The Ladies show signs of improvement, Megan had a another great race and Summer battled through a mid race issue to finish strong, as the fall season cools the temperatures Summer will step it up. K keeps improving with each race and had very strong kick. Margaret is a fighter and is showing signs of adjusting to "college" life, she is showing signs of coming around. Mya had an improved race and will get faster, Macie looked stronger and is going to get back to where she was a few weeks ago. The Ladies need to figure out the middle of the race and then times will start to drop."
